The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires got goals from Riley Dekowny and Jaxon Martens and a 19-save shutout from Jacob Herman in a 2-0 win over the host Notre Dame Argos.
The win stretched the Legionnaires’ winning streak to six games in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League.
Mac Gross, Chase Gallant, and Reed Jacobson all added assists.
Cedric Rechtsteiner made 29 saves for the Argos.
The Legionnaires improved to 28-13-1-1, while the Argos dropped to 8-32-3-1. The Legionnaires moved two points ahead of the Notre Dame Hounds, who still have two games against the Battlefords Stars remaining in the regular season.
The Legionnaires will visit the second-place Regina Pat Canadians on Sunday afternoon to conclude the regular season.
