Swift Current’s Rylan Silzer was named the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League’s Sask Player of the Year. The 6’4’’ defenseman registered 13 goals and 29 assists in 49 games with the La Ronge Ice Wolves this season, his third in the SJHL. He was also nominated for the league’s Top Defenseman award.

The Swift Current Broncos lost 5-2 to the host Regina Pats on Tuesday. Rylan Gould and Peyton Kettles scored in a losing cause. Matt Paranych, Ephram McNutt, Kolten Bridgeman, Zach Pantelakis, and Ashton Brown scored for the Pats. Reid Dyck made 19 saves to fall to 21-21-1-1.
