The Swift Current Midget AA Wildcats won both league games over the weekend as they allowed only one goal over 120 minutes.
Saturday, the Wildcats defeated the visiting Western Prairie Aces 4-1. Teagan Paul and Abbie Noble each notched a goal and an assist. Rio Runcie and Morgan Bailey also scored. Taylor Kohls, Mya Brown, and Jenna Olfert all added assists. Annika Kirk picked up the win in goal.
Sunday, the Wildcats scored twice in the third period to defeat the host Parkland Fire 2-0. Bailey scored an unassisted goal and Kohls scored with an assist from Jannae Carlson. Aurora Van Wormer stopped all 25 shots she faced to earn the shutout.
The Wildcats moved into second spot in the South Division with a 7-3-1-0 record.
The Wildcats are on the road this weekend to visit the North East Aces and the Warman Wildcats.
