After winning two bronze medals in her first day in the pool, Katie Durant won a gold medal at the Special Olympics Canada 2018 Summer Games in Antiginosh, Nova Scotia on Thursday.
The Swift Current native swam in three events on day two in the pool and won gold in 200 Metre Breaststroke in 3:31.44.
She placed fifth in the 50 Metre Breaststroke in 67.41 seconds. Durant also placed fifth in the 200 Metre Backstroke in 3:20.55.
Durant will compete in the 200 Metre Freestyle on Friday and the relays on Saturday.
