Swift Current’s fundraising walk in support of the Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan will be held on June 14.
The Walk for Alzheimer’s in Swift Current is one of three provincial walks being hosted in June by the Alzheimer Society. The walk will again be hosted at the SCCHS Outdoor Track. Registration takes place at 6 p.m., with the Walk to be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
New this year is the addition of Investors Group as a presenting sponsor of the spring 2017 walks.
The Walk for Alzheimer’s not only raises much needed funds to support the growing number of people affected with dementia, but the fundraiser helps raise general awareness about dementia and how people can get involved throughout the year.
Participants in this fun outdoor walk are collecting pledges, and many walk in support or memory of people affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
