The Swift Current Comp. Senior Ardens volleyball team won silver at the 12-team Lethbridge Super South Tournament over the weekend.
They topped the round robin with a 5-0 record after wins over Medicine Hat McCoy (21-25, 25-19, 15-11), St. Albert Paul Kane (25-15, 25-14), Lethbridge Chinook High School (25-18, 25-20), Lethbridge Winston Churchill High School (25-13, 25-13) and Okotoks Foothills High School (25-16, 25-18).
The Ardens defeated Magrath in the quarter-final (25-20, 25-20) and then edged Sherwood Park Salisbury in three sets (25-22, 22-25, 17-15) to reach the championship match.
The Ardens were defeated in three sets by Lethbridge Collegiate Institute (25-20, 20-25, 11-15) to bring home silver.
The Ardens will be in Saskatoon for Mustang Volley this weekend.
