Josh Davies was the overtime hero on Sunday as the Swift Current Broncos came back to defeat the Medicine Hat Tigers 4-3 to snap a three-game road losing streak.
Playing their third game in as many days, the Broncos scored twice in the third period to erase a two-goal deficit.
The game was tied 1-1 after one period. Pavel Bocharov scored for Medicine Hat, while Josh Filmon notched a power play goal for the Tigers, his 30th goal of the season.
The Tigers took the lead in the second period with goals from Dallon Melin and Andrew Basha.
The Broncos forced overtime with third-period goals from Owen Pickering and Connor Hvidston.
Davies scored an unassisted goal, his 13th of the season, 1:29 into the three-on-three overtime period as the Broncos improved to 5-0 in games decided in overtime this season.
Joey Rocha earned the win with 35 saves on 38 shots over 61:29. Beckett Langkow took the loss with 21 saves.
The Broncos (22-18-0-2) are now tied for seventh in the Eastern Conference with the Regina Pats (22-20-1-1) with 46 points each, but the Broncos hold two games in hand.
The Broncos will begin their five-game U.S. Division road trip on Friday when they visit the Portland Winterhawks.
