The Swift Current Comp. Ardens senior girls basketball team were dominant on home court as they won all three games to claim gold at their home tournament without allowing more than 28 points in any game.
The Ardens opened the weekend with an 81-18 win over the Regina Luther Lions on Friday. Grade 10 forward Amryne Duncalfe led the Ardens with 15 points, followed by 12 points from grade 12 Makayla Fleischfresser.
The Ardens won the semi-final 75-28 over Moose Jaw AE Peacock. Rayanne Fleischfresser and Makayla Fleischfresser each scored 20 points in the win.
The Ardens closed out their first tournament title of the season with a 71-21 win over Yorkton Regional. Makayla Fleischfresser scored 16 points, while Grace Thierman chipped in 10 points.
The Ardens will head to Regina on Wednesday for an exhibition game against the Regina Campbell Tartans.
