The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats got goals from five different skaters in a 5-0 win over the visiting Notre Dame Hounds in the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League on Wednesday.
The Wildcats got goals from Ashlee Wolfe, Maddy McCleary, Sara Kendall, Baylee Kirwan and a shorthanded goal from Crystal Wale. Laiken Swan and McCleary both finished with two assists, while Samantha Thompson, Kenedee Klevgaard, Ryleigh White, Brooklyn Rublee, and Madison Garrett all added single helpers.
Amaya Giraudier improved to 10-1-0 with 20 saves for her fourth shutout of the season. Rayanne Mckenzie took the loss with 18 saves for the Hounds.
The Wildcats improved to 16-4-1-0 with their fifth straight win to remain second in the SFMAAAHL, while the Hounds fell to 8-11-1-2.
The Wildcats will host the seventh-place Battlefords Sharks (7-13-1-1) on Saturday at 7:45 p.m. and Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
