Broncos trade for goaltender

The Swift Current Broncos made a draft day trade to add a goaltender on Thursday. They acquired 2007-born Cal Conway from the Wenatchee Wild in exchange for fifth-round draft pick in 2026 and a third-round pick in 2027.

Conway had a 3.61 goals against average and a .901 save percentage in 27 games during his first WHL season. The 6’1’’ product of Andover, MN finished with an 8-17-1-0 record.

The Broncos used four different goaltenders last season, including 31 games from rookie Aiden Eskit, 25 from veteran Joey Rocha, 23 from rookie Archer Cooke, and two from Berney Weston.
