The Swift Current Comp. Colts advanced to the South Rural 5A 12-Aside Football League championship game with a 41-7 win over Balgonie on Saturday.
The Colts had defeated Balgonie 30-24 one week earlier, but broke the semi-final open with 26 points in the second half.
The Colts led 15-7 at halftime after a six-yard touchdown from Jake Woods and a 69-yard major from Cade Sanderson.
The second half featured a one-yard touchdown from Woods, a 51-yard touchdown from Sanderson, and a 66-yard pick six from Zach Dyke.
The Colts finished with 340 yards of offense, including 253 yards rushing. Sanderson ran the ball for 191 yards on 24 carries. Woods added 61 yards on 18 carries. Qurterback Jamie Robertson completed five of 11 passes for 87 yards.
The Colts defense held Balgonie to 246 yards of total offense. They allowed 201 yards rushing, but only allowed one touchdown.
The Colts will face the unbeaten Moose Jaw Central Cyclones in the final after Central defeated Weyburn 35-0 in the other semi-final. The Colts lost 42-0 to Central on Sept. 13 in Moose Jaw.
