The Swift Current Comp. Colts won gold at a 16-team volleyball tournament hosted by Prince Albert St. Mary over the weekend.
They topped their pool on Friday with wins over Nipawin, Waldheim, and North Battleford John Paul II.
Saturday, the Colts defeated Melfort in three sets in the opening playoff round, then got past Meadow Lake in the quarter-final. They moved past Prince Albert Carlton in three sets in the semi-final.
The Colts won the championship match in dominating fashion, 25-12 and 25-15, over Lloydminster Comp to claim gold in their first tournament of the season.
The Senior Colts will head to a tournament in Saskatoon next weekend.
