Louma scores in a shootout at Canada Summer Games

The 2025 Canada Summer Games are nearing a conclusion in St. John’s.

Lucky Lake’s Kash Meyers and Saskatchewan defeated British Columbia 3-1 in a consolation game (25-21, 25-20, 20-25, 25-20) in men’s volleyball on Saturday. They will face New Brunswick for fifth place on Sunday morning.

Saskatchewan had lost the quarter-final in straight sets to Manitoba on Friday (21-25, 31-33, 27-29).

Swift Current’s Navy Louma helped Saskatchewan to their first victory in women’s soccer. They defeated Manitoba in penalty kicks after the game was tied 2-2 after 80 minutes. Louma came on as a substitute in the second half and scored Saskatchewan’s third goal in the shootout.

Saskatchewan will face Yukon on Sunday morning for ninth place.

Swift Current’s Carter Tuplin and Rowan Reimer helped Saskatchewan place sixth in the 4×400 Metre Relay in 3:17.08 on Saturday evening.
