Swift Current Broncos forward Brady Birnie was named the Tempo WHL Player of the Week after compiling seven points in three games last week.
The 5’8” Regina product finished the week with four goals, three assists, and a +5 rating as the Broncos won twice and lost once in four days. His week was highlighted by a three goal and one assist outing during a 9-4 win in Prince Albert on Friday.
Birnie is currently tied for fourth in the WHL with 26 points in 16 games. He leads the Broncos with 13 goals and in points as well. He was a first round draft pick of the Broncos in the 2020 WHL Prospects Draft.
The Broncos will host the Edmonton Oil Kings on Saturday.
