The Swift Current 57’s lost their playoff opener 7-2 in Moose Jaw on Monday.
The fourth seeded 57’s scored the opening two runs before the top seeded Miller Express scored seven unanswered runs to grab the lead in the best-of-three Western Canadian Baseball League playoff series.
Local Brody Alexandre supplied the offense with a two-run home run in the second inning.
Game two will be Tuesday at Mitchell Field.
