The Swift Current Innovation Credit Union Wildcats will be playing from behind in their second-round playoff series against the Regina Rebels after a 4-1 loss on Saturday.
The Rebels got all four goals from three of the Saskatchewan Female U18 AAA Hockey League’s top four scorers. Allee Gerrard scored twice and Greta Henderson and Alexis Petford added singles.
Kiana McNinch scored the Wildcats only goal with 5:04 remaining in regulation to prevent a shutout. Aurora Van Wormer made 30 saves in a losing cause.
The Wildcats will look to even up the best-of-five series on Sunday at 5:45 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
