Swift Current’s Griffin Striker will play for a national title on Monday.
Striker scored the shootout winning goal on Sunday as Saskatoon Alliance defeated Ontario’s Cherry Beach SC in penalty kicks at Canada Soccer’s U-17 Cup in Kamloops. The game was tied 3-3 after regulation before the Saskatchewan team scored on all five penalty kicks.
Alliance will take on Nova Scotia’s Suburban FC Bedford in the gold medal match on Monday at 1:40 local time.
