The Swift Current Comp. Colts soccer team had a dominating opening weekend when they hosted a pair of 5A rivals.
The Colts opened the weekend with a 12-2 win over the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders on Friday. Shepherd Munzara led the Colts with four goals, followed by two goals apiece from Amanti Eticha and Griffin Striker.
Nathan Odiyo, James Dicks, Camden Newton, and Cole Ferguson also scored.
“There’s much growth to be had but very promising start,” said coach Chris Garner. “We liked how they were communicating and playing a positional game.”
The Colts added an 8-0 win over the Weyburn Eagles on Saturday. Shepherd Munzara and Nicholas Munzara both scored twice, while Kaleb Snyder scored his first two goals for the Colts. Jacob Parkinson and Odiyo also scored.
The Colts will return to action on October 3 in Swift Current.
