
The U15 Surge Green boys basketball team placed fourth at the BSI Club Championship on May 23-25 in Regina.
They opened the tournament with a 20-0 win by forfeit over the Slam Heat.
The Surge added a 75-50 win over Excite. Connor Letkeman led the way with 30 points, followed by 13 points from Darcy Wiebe. They wrapped up the round robin portion with an 84-51 loss to Golden Ticket U15 Gold. Alexander Fraser scored 10 points, followed by 10 from Jack Thomson.
After finishing second in their pool with a 2-1 record, they faced the second-place Golden Ticket U14 Gold team and lost 83-71. Gradyn Jackson scored 16 points, followed by 13 apiece from Wiebe and Letkeman.
The Surge will return to action on June 6-7 at the Battle of the Bridge Main Event in Lethbridge.
