U11 United win Breakaway Tournament

The Swift Current United U11 Girls finished unbeaten in four matches to win gold at the QC Breakaway Tournament in Regina.

They opened the tournament with a 1-1 draw against Regina QC United when Talyah Cuthbert scored the lone goal.

They followed up with a 1-1 draw against Saskatoon’s Lakewood Dash when Mackenna Striker found the back of the net.

The U11 United Girls closed out the round robin with a 1-0 win over Prince Albert Celtic. Cuthbert scored the decisive goal and Kapri Darby earned the shutout in goal.

They rematched with Celtic in the championship match on Sunday and won 3-2 on goals from Hailey Langager, Veda Stringer, and Rowan Robinson.
