The Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos closed out an unbeaten week with two wins over the visiting Regina Rangers.
Saturday, the Broncos scored four power play goals in a 6-2 win over the Rangers as they found the back of the net twice in each period.
Jaydon Jessiman led the Broncos with a goal and two assists, while Rhett Dekowny scored twice. Denyn Smith and Kole Giesbrecht each finished with a goal and an assist and Chase Sawchuk added a pair of assists.
Cade Reich provided a highlight reel lacrosse style goal, while Dayne Feicht, Ethan Hilbig, Kaden Floberg, and Ayden Lamarre all added single helpers.
Rylan Hildenbrand earned the win with 17 saves.
Sunday, the Broncos scored five consecutive goals in a 5-3 win over the Rangers. Floberg, Dekowny, Feicht, Chase Sawchuk, and Reich all scored in the win. Hilbig, Giesbrecht, and Ethan Fizell all had two-assist outings. Smith, Jessiman, and Davis Hunter all added assists. Vincent Pinsonneault earned the win with 15 saves.
The Broncos sit second in the South Sask Midget AA Hockey League with a 21-5-1 -1 record.
The Midget AA Broncos are on the road to visit the Estevan Bruins and Weyburn Wings next weekend.
