The Swift Current Comp. Ardens basketball team attended the 31st Annual Fekula Senior Classic in Regina over the weekend and won their first two games to place second out of six teams.
The Ardens opened the tournament with an 84-76 win over the Weyburn Eagles on Friday. Grade 12 guard Jenna Sabine led the Ardens with 21 points, followed by 15 from Kyla Morante.
They followed up with a 93-61 win over Regina Martin. Sabine paced the Ardens with 23 points, followed by 12 from Josie New.
The Ardens dropped the final 73-43 to the Estevan Elecs on Saturday. Sabine led the Ardens for a third straight game with 15 points, while Veda Gottselig chipped in six points.
The Ardens will return to tournament action on Jan. 10-11 when they head to Lethbridge.
