The Swift Current 11U AAA 57’s bats were scorching hot in Melville at they scored 10 or more runs in five straights wins to win gold at a weekend tournament.
The 57’s won their pool with wins over the Saskatoon Blue Jays Broncos, Estevan Brewers, and Unity Cardinals.
They defeated the Yorkton Cardinals 12-9 in the semi-final and then blasted the Northeast Rangers 13-3 in four innings in the championship game.
The 11U 57’s will look to carry their momentum into AAA Tier 2 Provincials next weekend in Saskatoon.
