Crowe tops demolition derby

#11 Tyson Crowe topped the Swift Current Stock Car Association’s Appetite for Destruction Demolition Derby on Saturday.

Crowe, in his Looney Toons car took home top spot in the King of the Ring competition for a $1,200 prize.

#10-4 Dakota Lange was second for $750, while #13 Don Howe placed third for $350.

The SCSCA also held a burnout competition in memory Colton Koop, which was won by Pete Fehr in his 1978 Monza drag car for $450. Justin Koop and Ashley Lewis finished second in their ’75 GMC truck for $250 and Mike Krause pocketed $100 in third in his Jeep Cherokee.

#88 Brody Crowe won the Best Looking Car with his Toy Story themed car. Lange took home the Hardest Hit Award, while Shaunavon’s #55 Jake New took home the Mad Dog award.

The SCSCA will be back on the track on Friday at 7 p.m.
