Schafer has represented Great Britain in multiple Olympic Games, most recently she was an alternate at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

She also has medalled for Scotland in three World Championships and met her husband, Jerrod Schafer, while curling with Scotland’s Eve Muirhead in Swift Current at the 2010 World Championships.

Team Streifel most recently lost in the semi-final at the 2019 Viterra Scotties in Humboldt.

Schafer will be joining a Regina rink that was comprised of skip Kristen Streifel, third Jolene Campbell, second Callan Hamon, and lead Breanne Knapp in Humboldt. Dana Demers recently stepped away from the team after giving birth to twins and was replaced by Hamon.
