Almost two years after being drafted, Reed Jacobson signed a Standard Player Agreement with the Spokane Chiefs of the Western Hockey League.

The Swift Current product was drafted by the Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Now in his second season with the Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires, the local product tied for the team lead with 55 points in 44 games in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. The 5’9’’ forward had posted 28 points during his rookie campaign in 2017-18.

The Legionnaires’ alternate captain helped the team to a 28-14-1-1 record in fifth spot in the 12-team SMAAAHL. They will face the Notre Dame Hounds in the opening round of the playoffs.
