Saskatchewan places third in round robin at Canada Winter Games

Saskatchewan’s women’s hockey team placed third in the round robin at the Canada Winter Games after a 7-3 loss to Quebec on Tuesday.

Saskatchewan held 1-0 and 2-1 leads before allowing six of the final seven goals to fall to 1-2 in the round robin.

Quebec won the group with a 3-0 record.

Saskatchewan is led by Swift Current Wildcats’ head coach Terry Pavely and features forwards Taylor Lind (Shaunavon) and Carissa Hogan (Rosetown).

Lind assisted on Saskatchewan’s first two goals and now has three points in as many games.

Swift Current’s Ghrandozz Aguilar is set to make his debut in the Men’s Judo individual competition on Wednesday. He will face Prince Edward Island’s Christopher Robert LaFrance in the preliminary round of the -73KG Division at 10 a.m.
