The Swift Current Female Midget AA Broncos kept their season alive with a 3-2 win over the host Notre Dame Hounds on Thursday.
The Broncos scored the first three goals before the Hounds scored twice in the final 3:38 for a nervous finish.
Paris Appel, Jenna Olfert, and Lexi-Ann Cote each finished with a goal and an assist. Olfert scored the eventual game winner midway through the third period.
Trina Friesen, Rio Runcie, and Kalea Sauder all added assists.
Aurora Van Wormer earned the win as the Broncos were outshot 23-19.
Madison Morris and Keara Merriman replied for the Hounds, while Eva Filippova took the loss.
The fourth seeded Broncos had lost the series opener 1-0 one week ago to the fifth seeded Hounds.
The third and deciding game will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Fairview West Arena.
