The Swift Current Colts got their Saskatchewan Female Bantam Hockey League playoffs out to a dominating start.
The third seeded Colts defeated the visiting Balcarres Barracudas 7-1 on Wednesday to open the best-of-three South Division quarter-final series.
Sadie Keller led the Colts with four goals and one assist, including a pair of shorthanded goals 44 seconds apart in the third period. Tess Bakus added four assists as well. Mya Brown, Paisly Arntsen, and Chloe Shumaker also scored. Brogan Carlson, Mya Girard, Ava Geissler, and Rebecca Elliot all added assists. Annika Kirk earned the win in goal.
Ashlyn Wilde scored the only goal for the sixth seeded Barracudas.
Game two will be February 23 in Balcarres.
