Lind reaches second in SFMAAAHL all-time scoring

With two goals on Saturday, Shaunavon’s Taylor Lind moved into second all-time in Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League scoring.

The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats forward now has 159 points in 78 league games over three seasons to move past Mackenna Parker. She trails only Olivia Howe’s 207 points in 106 games.

Lind now leads the season scoring race with 49 points in 23 games after posting 22 points during seven consecutive multi-point outings.

The fourth-place Wildcats defeated the last-place Weyburn Wings 7-2 during a penalty filled seventh straight win on Saturday afternoon.

Brooklyn Rublee led the Wildcats with a goal and two assists, Tobi Fontaine and Lind scored twice, and Crystal Wale added a goal and an assist.

Ryleigh White also scored, while Brynne Doerksen, Maddy McCleary, Madison Garrett, Carissa Hogan, Kate Wagner, and Kenedee Klevgaard added assists.

Amaya Giraudier earned the win with 14 saves.

The Wildcats improved to 12-9-1-1, two points back of Prince Albert for third with one game in hand.

The two teams will rematch on Sunday in Weyburn.
