Former Swift Current Broncos forward Aleksi Heponiemi helped Finland secure its second win at the IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship on Saturday.
Heponiemi had one assist during a 5-1 win over Slovakia in Victoria, BC.
Finland is third in Group B with a 2-1 record. They will conclude the round robin on New Years Eve against the United States.
Canada defeated the Czech Republic 5-1 to move to 3-0 as a first-place showdown on New Years Eve looms.
