Swift Current sisters inducted into Hall of Fame

Swift Current sisters Mandi Tuplin, née Tasche, and Lindsay MacKenzie, née Tasche, were recently inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame.

The standouts with the Swift Current Comp. Ardens track and field team were both members of the University of Saskatchewan Women’s Track and Field teams that won National Championships in 2002-03 and 2003-04. The latter team set the Canadian Interuniversity Sport Championship record for team points. Both teams were inducted into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame on Nov. 3 at TCU Place.

MacKenzie spent nine years coaching the St. Francis Xavier University track and field team from 2008-16, while Tuplin has coached the SCCHS Colts and Ardens for the past eight years.
