Jade Addai was named the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Athlete of the Week after a dominating weekend on the hardwood.
The former standout with the Swift Current Comp. Ardens led the University of Toronto Mississauga Eagles to a pair of wins over the Sault College Cougars.
The Eagles opened the weekend with an 88-39 win on Saturday. Addai finished with 18 points, two rebounds, three assists, and six steals.
Sunday, Addai increased her output to 25 points, five rebounds, and four steals during a 67-60 win.
The Swift Current native is currently second in league scoring with 22.5 points per game, while leading UTM to a 4-0 record. She is shooting 47.9 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from behind the three-point line.
