SWAC runners compete at cross-country Provincials

The Southwest Athletic Conference sent 16 athletes to the SHSAA Cross-Country Provincial Championship on Saturday in Delisle.

The top fisher was Swift Current’s Hillary Lacelle in sixth place in Midget Girls, which featured 102 runners.

The Swift Current Comp. also placed ninth out of 17 teams in the 4A School classification.

Final SWAC placings:

Midget girls (102 runners)

6th – Hillary Lacelle (SCCHS); 65th – Kirsten Hanson (SCCHS); 87th – Eve Boss (Wymark).

Midget boys (100 runners)

31st – Elijah Nicolas (Vanguard); 65th – Markus Kuzma (SCCHS). Junior girls (67 runners) 26th – Kea Frase (SCCHS); 54th – Alexandria Boss (SCCHS).

Junior Boys (87 runners)

29th – Zander Rommelaere (SCCHS); 39th – Rhys O’Neill (Ponteix); 60th – Emanuel Grimm (Hodgeville).

Senior girls (102 runners)

22nd – Danika Messer (SCCHS); 34th – Janna St Jacques (SCCHS); 77th – Amanda Thoreson (SC).

Senior boys (107 runners)

24th – Rueben Kuzman (SCCHS); 51st – Dylan Pierce (SCCHS); 73rd – Austin Coward (SCCHS).
