Four Southwest athletes will represent their province at the Western Canadian Tri Province Championship later this month.

Leader’s Reed Sitter was named to U16 Team Saskatchewan for the meet, which will be held on July 27-29 in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Leader’s Jackson Sitter will be joined by Swift Current’s Scott Joseph and Kalea Sauder on the U18 team.

Joseph placed second in the Junior Boys aggregate points title at SHSAA Provincials in Prince Albert in June. He won gold in the Junior Boys 100 Metre Dash and Triple Jump and placed third in the 200 Metre Dash.

Joseph and Jackson Sitter also teamed up to win silver in the 4×100 Metre Relay. Jackson Sitter won bronze in the Junior Boys Triple Jump at Provincials.

Sauder was a double medalist at Provincials in 2017 with silver in the 100 Metres and bronze in the Long Jump. She was the only Southwest athlete to represent Saskatchewan at the Tri Province Meet in Winnipeg last summer.
