Having won gold at almost every level of wrestling in Canada imaginable this year, Aleah Nickel headed overseas for another challenge and will be returning with even more hardware.
The Swift Current native won silver in the 61 kg division at the Pan-American Championships in Guatemala City on Saturday.
Nickel had two matches in the Cadet Pan-American Championships. She defeated Mexico’s Alejandra Rivera Arriaga and lost to American Ashton Cadman.
Nickel will also represent Canada at the World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia on July 2-8.
