The 16U Female Junior SunDogs volleyball team met little resistance during a tournament appearance south of the border.
The SunDogs, coached by Shawn Hiebert, Travis Kelln, and Darren Lehmann, did not lose a single set over seven matches to place first in the Club Division at the Big Sky Volleyfest in Billings, MT over the weekend.
The 16U SunDogs rattled off three straight wins on Saturday with victories over Missoula’s ZooTown VC Gold (25-9, 25-12), Billings’ Avalanche VC (25-9, 25-11), and Missoula’s ZooTown VC Diamond (25-11, 25-14).
The SunDogs opened play on Sunday with a win over the Harden Bulldogs (25-9, 25-17) and then defeated Sheridan VC (25-13, 25-20). They added a win over the Bismarck Inferno (25-21, 25-12) and then clinched gold with another win over the ZooTown VC Diamond (25-17, 25-14).
