The CP Holiday Train will be making another 30 minute daytime stop in Swift Current during 2017.
The Holiday Train rolls into Swift Current on December 17 for a 12:30 p.m. to 1 p.m. festive concert featuring Terri Clark, Dallas Smith and Kelly Prescott.
Swift Current will be the opening show on the final day of performing for the trio, who began riding the rails together on December 3 during the start of the US Holiday Train run in New York state.
The trio will perform during 10 train stops in Saskatchewan and Alberta during Dec. 15 to 17.
Prescott started her ride on November 25 on the US Holiday Train schedule. The third generation country/roots singer/songwriter is currently touring to support her latest EP Hillbilly Jewels.
Clark, who hails from Medicine Hat, is an eight time Canadian Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year and has earned five CCMA Female Vocalist of the Year Awards. Her recording career boasts 20 singles which have reached the charts, including Number One hits “Better Things To Do,” “Poor Poor Pitiful Me,” “Girls Lie Too,” and “I Just Wanna Be Mad.”
Smith is the current reigning CCMA winner of the Album of the Year and Top Selling Canadian Album of the Year for his release “Side Effects”. That album also featured the 2017 Single of the Year “Autograph”.
