The Swift Current Abbey Resources Broncos scored two unanswered third-period goals to defeat the visiting Notre Dame Argos 3-2 in South Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League action Wednesday.
Levi Lamotte netted his second goal of the game to tie things up and Colt Kornfeld scored with 4:23 remaining in regulation to clinch the win.
Beau Larson, Hendrik de Klerk, Aaron Wittmier, and Brock Herter all picked up assists. Jacob Herman made 42 saves on 44 shots in the win.
Cole Leggat and Connor Keaugh replied for the Argos, who got 22 saves from Jason Henley in a losing cause.
The Broncos remain second in the standings with a 10-3-3-1 record, but moved two points ahead of the Argos, who dropped to 10-7-1-1.
The Broncos are back at home Sunday at 1:15 p.m. at Fairview West Arena against the Weyburn Wings.
