Team Saskatchewan, featuring three members of the Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats, lost their opening game at the 2017 National Women’s Under-18 Championship Wednesday morning.
Saskatchewan lost 2-0 to British Columbia to open the tournament in Quebec City.
Defenseman Taylor Kirwan (Gull Lake), forward Taylor Lind (Shaunavon), and head coach Terry Pavely (Swift Current) are all representing their province at Nationals.
Saskatchewan will be back on the ice Thursday evening to take on the host Quebec team.
