The Swift Current Full Line Ag Broncos opened a four-game home stand with two games against the Estevan Bear Cats in the South Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League over the weekend.
Saturday, the Broncos lost 4-1 on a lone goal from Bailey Wilson with assists from Kaitlyn Haubrich and Chelsea Wilson.
Sunday, the Broncos led 1-0 after one period, allowed four goals in the middle stanza, but scored twice in the final frame to tie the Bear Cats 4-4.
Kalea Sauder and Chelsea Wilson led the Broncos with a goal and an assist each, while Jannae Carlson and Taylor Kohls also scored. Bailey Wilson, Josie Calwell, Kaitlyn Haubrich, and Carmen Hildebrandt all added assists and Allison Wall earned the draw in goal.
The Broncos dropped to 2-1-1 early in the South Saskatchewan Female Midget Hockey League regular season. They will host the Regina Ravens on Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 12 p.m. at Fairview East Arena this weekend.
