Colts defend Moose Jaw league title

The Swift Current Comp. Colts defeated the Moose Jaw AE Peacock Tornadoes 2-1 Wednesday to win a second straight Moose Jaw High School Boys Soccer League championship.

Tony Roin and Kieran Gelowitz scored to lift the Colts to their second straight league title since joining the league last season.

The Colts will be back at home this weekend to host SHSAA 3A Regionals. They face Prince Albert St. Mary at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at Irwin Field needing a win to advance to Provincials. The winner will take on the Prince Albert Carlton Crusaders on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The Swift Current Comp. Ardens will be in Moose Jaw to face the Weyburn Eagles in the Moose Jaw High School Girls Soccer League final on Thursday. They head to Prince Albert for Regionals on Saturday.

The Herbert Laurels will also host 7v7 Regionals in Swift Current. They face Dalmeny on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Irwin Field.
