Grasslands National Park was the host of the SWAC District cross-country championships on Sept. 30. What a spectacular day – the weather was outstanding and the scenery was beautiful.
We had 126 runners taking part in grades 4-12. A huge thank you to the Park staff as well as Val Marie School for hosting – fantastic job! Special thanks to our commissioners for the event Anne Beauchamp and Jamee Coupe. The following are the top finishers in each event:
Pee Wee Girls (grades 4,5,6) 2 km run. 45 participants:

We have eight students who are going to run at SHSAA provincial cross country in Turtleford on October 14. Good luck to runners from Swift Current Comp. – Jenna Sabine, Rueben Kuzma, Austin Coward, Dylan Pierce, Kennedy Choo Foo, Taylor Dickie and Danika Messer – as well as the runner from Hodgeville Chayne Krauchek! They will be accompanied by coaches Roberta McIntyre and Adam Jackson.
