Swift Current’s Griffin Wilson got an early start to the golf season at the Maple Leaf Junior Golf Tour Ford Series / Alberta Season Opener at Paradise Canyon Golf Resort in Lethbridge on May 6-7.
The 16-year-old finished tied for 29th in the Juvenile Boys field in Lethbridge. He shot an 86 on day one and improved by five strokes for an 81 on day two. Wilson was 26 shots behind the winner, Mason Harder, who shot rounds of 69 and 72 to win by one stroke in his hometown.
The next MJT event in Saskatchewan is scheduled for May 20-21 at Cooke Municipal Golf Course in Prince Albert. The MJT Golf Sask OOM Series will be in Swift Current at the Chinook Golf Course on July 1-2.
