The Swift Current Swift Hockey Co Wildcats edged the visiting Saskatoon Comet Chargers 3-2 on Friday.
The Wildcats led 1-0 on a Zarrah Hellman goal and 2-1 on a Kapri Darby goal. Laynee Rondeau scored in the third period to clinch the win. Rondeau, Kali Nelson, and Deyus Getzinger all picked up assists. Janaye Risdale earned the win with 14 saves.
Casey Maxin and Peyton Hipperson replied for the Comet Chargers. Sway Friesen made 31 saves in a losing cause.
The Wildcats sit second in the Saskatchewan Female U15 AA Hockey League South Division with an 8-4-1-2 record. The Comet Chargers fell to 5-9-0-1.
The U15 Wildcats will return to action on Jan. 10 when they visit the Regina Rebels Black.
