Broncos trade Ward to Medicine Hat

The Broncos announced a significant trade during the WHL Prospects Draft on Thursday when they sent forward Mathew Ward to the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The Broncos received a second round pick in 2024, a third round pick in 2027, and a fourth round pick in 2026 in return for Ward, who will be an overage player next season.

Ward, had 55 points in 43 regular season games during his fourth season with the Broncos. He added eight points in as many playoffs games against Lethbridge and Moose Jaw.

Ward, drafted 14th overall in 2019, has 208 points in 199 regular season games.
