Coming off a third place finish at provincials, the 14U – Elite Womens SunDogs attended The AAU Super Regional Big Sky Volleyfest in Billings, Montana this past weekend.
The Sundogs competed against 38 American teams over the weekend. On Friday the SunDogs beat ZTV Premier 2-1 and Rimrock 2-0 to finish first in their pool. In the crossover match to stay on the championship side, the girls beat YVA-14 2-0 to end the day.
On Sunday, in the quarter-finals, they played Cloud Peak Selects winning 2-0. In the semi-final the 14U SunDogs met Rimrock -1, who were undefeated until this point, beating them 2-0.
In the final, the girls met a tough undefeated club out of Monchina, dropping the first set 22-25. The girls rallied to win the second set 25-15. The SunDoghs beat Monchina 15-11 in the third set to close out the tournament championship.
