The Swift Current Wolverines moved to 2-0 in the Prairie Gold Junior Lacrosse League with an 11-6 win over the host Moose Jaw Mustangs on Saturday.
The Wolverines scored the opening four goals and never looked back as they built up a 7-1 lead in the second period.
Dawson Gates led the way with one goal and three assists, followed by two goals and one assist from Paul Piche. Ryder Turko and Grady Henderson both scored twice. Stowe Francis and Carter Lamotte each added a goal and an assist. Shane Cornelson and Riley Schafer also scored.
Braxton Mac Angus and Kael Nichols both scored twice for Moose Jaw. Lucas Salkin and Jacob Gyman also scored.
The Wolverines will visit the Weyburn Razorbacks (0-2) for two games this weekend.
