Peewee Broncos win championship series opener

The Swift Current Southwest Terminal Broncos scored the only goal of the third period to win opening game of the South Saskatchewan Peewee AA Hockey League best-of-three championship series.

Brady Wilson scored midway through the third period to lift the Broncos to a 5-4 win over the host Estevan Bruins. Estevan had led 2-1 after one period before the Broncos outscored them 3-2 in the middle stanza to tie the game.

Kalan Lind, Jaydon Jessiman, and Kane Klassen each finished with a goal and an assist, while Anthony Wilson also scored. Rohan Priebe and Dayne Feicht also added assists.

The Broncos can close out the championship series on Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Fairview East Arena.
