The Swift Current Diamond Energy Wildcats saw their season come to an end with a 4-0 loss to the Saskatoon Stars Saturday.
The Stars eliminated the Wildcats from the Saskatchewan Female Midget AAA Hockey League playoffs for a third straight season with a three-game sweep in the best-of-five semi-final series. Grace Shirley scored twice, while Mackenna Parker and Willow Slobodzian also scored. Jordan Ivanco got the shutout with 20 saves. Harper Davey made 27 saves on 31 shots for the Wildcats.
The defending champion Stars will now face the Prince Albert Bears in the championship series.
